A Story broke that a mysterious snake had swallowed over N36million belonging to the Benue State office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Makurdi.
While many pondered the veracity of the tale, some believed it was aimed at creating a diversion to shield a fraud.
Meanwhile, Sunday Vanguard investigations have revealed that the tale may have been designed to cover up a fraud in the Board after the immediate past Registrar, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, launched a probe into the finances of JAMB across the 36 states of the federation.
“The missing money was not swallowed by a snake contrary to the story making the rounds in the traditional and social media”, an official in the Makurdi office of JAMB, who chose to remain anonymous, said. “I can take you round our premises and even the toilets to see if there is anything like a snake here. It was a dummy sold to the public by those responsible for what is at best a tale by moonlight”.
What #connectcon18 aims to do and why you should sign up for #connectcon18.
Change the popular mindset that school and skill do not mix, because school work won’t give time to hone a skill and with a skill you don’t need to go to school. Connect Conference 2018 aims not only to debunk that mindset, but also to show you practical ways school and skill can mix.

We are building a community for young people to connect and recreate their world through knowledge and skill.
Join YOUNG PEOPLE CONNECT to know more.
Young People Connect is a platform that seeks to connect the dots between professional/graduate qualifications with an individual’s skills set.
The YPC was initiated after a thoughtful and detailed study which revealed that many young people,
especially undergraduates and recent graduates, do not understand the importance of possessing vocational and soft skills in today’s world. Many are focused on bagging a degree and getting a white collar job. Only very few possess skill but they are fed with the challenge of combining their skills or trade with the rigors of a typical institution of higher learning in Nigeria.
A recent statistic showed that 18.8% of the entire Nigeria population are unemployed. This figure will continue to rise unless there is an intervention.
The YPC seeks to bridge the gap between formal education and other forms of learning. Through
strategic events, conferences and mentoring, we hope to help young people discover and realize their
fullest potentials, support them in their ideas and connect them with people who can serve as guides in
their career, professional and entrepreneurial journey.
It seeks to balance the skill-school equilibrium.Young People Connect sees a problem, a gap, a need and we have engaged our minds tirelessly towards providing a solution.
